What is “A Close Second”?
Bridget Palmer performed well against multi-day champion Tristan Willaims. Palmer has Malad connections.
A woman with ties to Malad appeared on the TV game show “Jeopardy” on Wednesday, May 13. Bridget Palmer came in second to 5-game winner Tristan Williams so took home $3000. Bridget knew the answer to the last “Jeopardy” question and Williams did not, but the winner had an unsurmountable lead going into final “Jeopardy.”
Bridget is the daughter-in-law of Janice (Buehler) and the late Stan Palmer and now lives in Finland with her husband Jeremy. Both of them teach at the University of Turku in Finland. Bridget has always wanted to try her luck on “Jeopardy.”
Unfortunately, with the power outage continuing past the local broadcast time, many who wanted to watch the show were unable to do so. Others, who had generators, were able to record it so that Bridget’s Malad fans could watch her go head to head with the latest “Jeopardy” champion.
The game can be found by that date on the streaming service Hulu/Disney Plus, and can be watched at any time with an account.
