Bill Peabody, a custodian at Malad High School, was honored as the Oneida School District “Employee of the Month” at the May 18, 2026, meeting of the Oneida School Board.

Mr. Robert Hannah, Malad High School Principal, read the following letter in support of Bill’s nomination:

“Bill Peabody can be named our official Most Valuable Player.  His impact is significant. He is dependable. He is professional, His performance is incredible.

“His impact is evident. The manner in which he performs his duties really makes life better for all of us.

“I wanted to take a moment to thank [Bill] for everything [he does] to make our school fantastic. Behind every great school is an amazing custodian, and your hard work ensures our building is a safe, clean, and welcoming place for everyone to learn and grow and be safe.  Whether you’re fixing, building, or keeping the halls bright, your dedication does not go unnoticed.  We would truly be a mess without you!”

To recognize this honor, Bill received a plaque, a copy of the “Starfish” story, and a gift card to a restaurant.
