Idaho Home Learning Academy Celebrates Class of 2026 with Statewide Graduation Ceremonies
Idaho Home Learning Academy (IHLA) proudly celebrated its Class of 2026 with in-person graduation ceremonies held across the state of Idaho. This year’s graduating class of 168 students marks a significant milestone for the virtual school, continuing a strong growth trend from 120 graduates in 2024 and 134 in 2025. Ceremonies were held in Boise, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, and Coeur d’Alene, bringing the celebration to graduates and their families in communities throughout Idaho. Graduates come from all regions of the state.
Idaho Legislators Honor Graduates with Keynote Remarks
This year’s ceremonies were highlighted by the participation of multiple Idaho State Legislators who served as keynote speakers, underscoring recognition of IHLA’s graduates and the importance of flexible education pathways.
Representative Pickett spoke at the Twin Falls ceremony, sharing a powerful story about the generational impact that education can have, not only on individual students but on their families for generations to come.
Representative Ehardt addressed graduates at the Idaho Falls ceremony, inspiring students with a message about the difference a single person can make when they are willing to speak out and stand up for what is right.
Representative Galaviz spoke at the Boise ceremony, encouraging graduates with a message of perseverance, resilience, and moving forward. All three legislators highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of the graduating students and expressed enthusiasm for their bright futures.
School Leaders Emphasize Citizenship, Belief, and Hard Work
IHLA High School Principal Rachel Jensen delivered remarks at the Coeur d’Alene ceremony, speaking to the importance of believing in oneself and the need to continue working hard beyond graduation. Incoming Executive Director Hailey Sweeten also attended, joining Principal Jensen in traveling to all four ceremony locations across the state to personally celebrate each graduate. All speakers, legislators and school leaders alike, emphasized the importance of being a good citizen and the responsibility graduates carry as they enter the next chapter of their lives.
A Class Ready for Every Path Forward
IHLA’s Class of 2026 is heading in every direction. Post-graduation plans among the class include military enlistment, enrollment in technical and trade schools, admission to colleges and universities, entry into the workforce with jobs already secured, entrepreneurship and business ownership, and service through church missions. Each graduate also created a personalized slide for a digital slideshow that played at their ceremony, featuring their senior photo and a glimpse into their future plans, a fitting tribute to the individuality and ambition of IHLA students.
