This year’s read-a-thon organized by the Friends of the Oneida County Library, was a success! Both in terms of raising funds and promoting literacy. The event raised a total of $3,690.53 and 48,634 minutes were read. There were 22 participants, with eight of them raising over $100 each. 

The participants had a great time at the reward party on Thursday, May 14th behind the Oneida County Events Center. The weather was perfect while the kids had a blast playing in a bounce house and the adults visited. Pizza and cookies were enjoyed by all.

Then came the awarding of the grand prizes: Adler Zahn for most money raised, and Levi Balazs for most minutes read. Each youth received a 2 liter bottle of soda, a bag of little prizes, and was entered into a drawing for even more prizes!
