The pencil-neck hater Professor Roy Shire of New York City is scheduled to wrestle Vern Taft of Salt Lake City in the Malad High School gymnasium on April 16th, under the auspices of the Ernest W. Jones Post of the American Legion. Roughly speaking, a pencil neck in the Professor’s book is any jerk that lives west of the Mississippi River. He professes a big hate for one and all in the West and takes a devilish delight in pinning one of them during a wrestling match because he claims that’s exactly where he likes to see a westerner, “on his back”. Wrestling in various intermountain communities during the past few months, the Professor has had nothing good to say about anything here, including the people, climate, scenery or towns, which he claims need deodorizing. The eastern “bully boy” has been very successful in the ring and has wrestled to questionable decision with rugged Vern Taft in several meetings. The match should be an interesting one and every person attending will be well pleased with the entertainment.
