The Dragon wrestling schedule included only one tournament for the MHS teams, the Cooper D Lish tournament hosted by the Marsh Valley High School.  The tournament featured brackets for all weight classes at the boy’s varsity and JV levels as well as a girl’s bracket.  

The boy’s tournaments included 27 teams from Idaho, Utah and Wyoming, the girl’s tournament featuring wrestlers from 32 teams.

There were a number of wrestlers out due to injury and illnesses but that didn’t mean Malad took a loss on the mats.  The MHS team still saw great success in all levels of competition with a number going undefeated over the weekend- Ayden Potter, Riggin Montgomery, Bronson Smith, and DJ Crowther for the boys team with Cale Carter from the girls team.

The Dragons are excited to host their annual two day tournament this upcoming weekend, beginning Friday, December 19.  Friday the wrestling will start in the early afternoon at 1:00PM.  The tournament will resume Saturday morning at 9:00AM.

In addition to the hometown tournament, the Lady Dragon wrestling team will also compete at Preston High School as they face off with Preston & Twin Falls in a dual meet.  Over the Christmas break both teams will hit the road to compete in the Bear Lake tournament Saturday, January 3.
