Following up after the 4th of July, the LaGrand Aqua Plunge held their final session of summer swimming lessons beginning July 14.  Topping out just under 140 swimmers, the pool was full for the four different time slots.  

Perusing through the list of names for those taking lessons, you might find some that have already been previously listed.  The staff at the pool shared that for many families, it is common for their kids to participate in multiple sessions for the summer to help get them through the courses more quickly, keep working on skills they are lacking on, and have a fun summer in the pool.  

There may also be a lot of names not recognized from our community.  Despite living in other communities with other swimming lesson options, a number of swimmers make the drive to Malad.  Between word of mouth, visiting family, or young families returning to do lessons where they learned to swim, out of towners are in the LaGrand Aqua Plunge swim lessons as the Malad natives.

Once again, These lessons are thanks to a number of young pool employees, most previous graduates of similar classes and lessons while some have dedicated their time to work and serve there for countless years.
