Natalie Webster placed 7th at State as a soprano

The Malad High School students who went to the State Music Festival on May 2-3 in Pocatello scored very well, considering they were competing against students from high schools of all sizes throughout Idaho. Malad students were competing against students from schools in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Boise as well as dozens of smaller schools.

The treble choir comprised of Abigail Cox, Aubrey Palmer, Madilyn Shaw, Emree Hanks, Kayla Wilson, and Adilyn Schow placed 7th as did soprano vocalist Natalie Webster.  Mary Zabriskie placed 8th with an alto saxophone solo, Tavin Barnes placed 9th with a baritone saxophone solo, and Serena Whipple placed 10th with a euphonium solo.

Other participating at the State Music Festival were Bronson Garrett (13th with tenor saxophone solo), Joe Willie (15th with tenor vocal solo), Hannah Zabriskie (15th with French horn solo), and Kayla Wilson (22nd with alto vocal solo).
