Drill Team Report
The MHS Dragonettes had a successful weekend at the Battle of the Border where they received two 2nd place finishes and two 3rd place finishes.
The Malad Dragonettes are preparing for their biggest competitions, their upcoming district and state competitions, the best way they know how- dancing it out! Over the last several weeks, the MHS drill team has competed in multiple competitions where they have come out in the top place a number of times.
The Dragonettes first competed on Friday, January 5th, finishing the competition with first place in their Hip Hop, Dance, and Pom routines, as well as third place in their Military routine. The MHS drill team competed at the Battle of the Border over the weekend where they got to see first hand their toughest competitors at their district and state competitions.
The girls danced hard, taking second place in Military and Hip Hop, coming up short of first place by a single point or less in each dance. The Dragonettes also earned third place in both the Dance and Pom categories!
Sharing after the big weekend of competition, the Dragonettes’ coaches said, “The scores were tight and now they are ready to work hard the next two weeks to come out on top at Districts!”
