With the 2023 soccer season winding down, the Lady Dragons hosted their final regular season game at home on Saturday, September 30 where they shut out the Aberdeen Tigers, 8-0.  The Lady Dragons have continued to see progress and improvement as they have moved through the season, their final game demonstrating how far they have come this year.

Putting up a final win at home to end the season was not just an exciting victory for the team, but for the graduating senior soccer players.  Competing on their field for the last time, Charli Briscoe and Azure Ashby, each put in a goal to add to the Malad score, capping their MHS career in the best way.  In addition to their goals, several other players had goals making it a “memorable last home game of the season,” as their coach, Shenell Clark shared.  She continued, “It was a really great win for the team, especially for both seniors to have goals.”

With the regular season wrapped up, the Lady Dragons are preparing for their postseason district games.  Malad’s first game of the tournament is Tuesday, October 3 against Aberdeen once again.  The games will be played in Marsh Valley, the top seed in the tournament.  Winning their opening game would then set the Lady Dragons to pay again on Thursday, October 5.
