21st Annual Dance Time Dance Competition held April 30

The weekend of April 30, Dance Company and Studio Owner Jennifer Hill hosted its 21st Annual Dance Time Classic Dance, Cheer and Solo Competition on Saturday, April 30 at Malad High School.  There were 10 teams attending from Burley, Pocatello, American Falls, Rexburg, Preston, Malta, Logan, Tremonton and Malad.  There were 120 Team Routines were performed, as well as 101 Solo and Duet performances.  

Two local Studios attended, Dance Company under the direction of Jennifer Hill, and Studio A under the direction of Alaina Schrenk and Alicia Seamons.  Dance Company performed 10 routines and received awards for Most Audience Appeal, Best in Hip Hop and the Judges Choice on the routines “Jump Around” and “You're the one that I want”. 

Soloist Eve Estudillo received 2nd in the 9th and 10th Grade Jazz Intermediate division, and Lila Estudillo received 1st in the 5th Grade Lyrical Amateur division.  

Studio A performed six routines and received Best in Choreography and a Judges Choice award for their routine “Let's Dance”.  Soloist Samantha Schrenk received Queen in the 6th Grade Lyrical Advanced division; Aleah Seamons received 2nd in the 4th & 5th Grade Lyrical Intermediate division; Cassidy Schrenk received Queen in the 3rd Grade Jazz Amateur division, and Alyssa Seamons received Queen in the 3rd Grade Jazz Amateur B division.  

It was a big day, but things ran very smoothly from the early morning start to the early evening close.  It was a great day for all the teams that attended.  This Competition draws teams from all around this area due to the central location of Malad.  Many of the teams involved in the competition have been supporters from the very beginning.
