Long-time Malad Middle School teacher, JoLynne Jensen Price, was honored as the Oneida School District “Employee of the Month” at the regular School Board meeting on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  Principal Robert Hannah wrote the following letter of nomination for JoLynne:

“Malad Middle School appreciates Mrs. JoLynne Price. Jo has been with Malad Middle School since it was built in 1997. Jo is an instructional leader.  She is our Science Department lead and conducts the department’s professional learning community meetings. Student learning and student safety are paramount, and Jo is all about those two things. She is a veteran teacher who has kept up with and embraced technology and new methods of teaching. Jo has experienced many changes at Malad Middle School and is always willing to help new teachers as they come on board.

“She is a popular instructor among our students. She is always well prepared and flexible for the daily challenges that just seem to pop up. Her lessons are always consistent with our district’s adopted curriculum and programs. JoLynne also organizes some of our school’s special activities, such as bowling, skiing, and Armor Up. She goes the extra mile in anything she does.”

As the January “Employee of the Month,” JoLynne received a copy of the “Starfish” poem, a gift card, and a plaque, which will hang in the District office for the next month.
