Eldon Loy Martindale, 93, passed away Saturday, Jaurary 27, 2024.  He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 4, 1930.  He’s been living with his son Randy and his wife Sherrie in Malad for the past four years.

He joined the Air Force during the Korean War.  On his way home from 

Boot camp he bought an engagement ring for his sweetheart Donna Mae Davis.  They were married on July 2, 1949.  They were sealed in the Idaho Falls temple on March 29, 1951.  They were married for 74 years.  He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad among other odd jobs, including Donna’s dad’s farm.

He is survived by his five children: Randy (Sherrie) Martindale, Clint (Candace) Martindale, Kristeen (Kenny) Openshaw, Brad (Korin) Martindale, and Lois Bodily (Matt Anderson), and by his 14 grandkids, 24 great grandkids, and 6 great, greatgrandkids.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W 300 N in Malad, Idaho.  Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on the same day.  Burial will follow the service at the Malad City Cemetery.
