Nick Gugelman Retires After 17 Years with Oneida County

Contributed by Lisa Baker, Road and Bridge Department

Nick Gugelman began working at the landfill but when the opportunity arrived shortly after, he moved to the Road & Bridge for the remainder of his 17 years with Oneida County.

Most of his time with the Road & Bridge was spent operating a motor grader and taking care of snow removal for the people in the Malad Summit/Devil Creek area.  Nick was an excellent welder and spent many hours in the shop making repairs.

Nick lived in Malad when he started his employment with Oneida County but moved to Pocatello and has made the early morning drive from Pocatello on winter roads for several years.

Nick has been happily married to his wife, LaReta, for 50 years.  They raised their four boys in the Malad Valley.  Nick loves attending activities for his grandchildren and camping.

Oneida County wants to thank Nick for his many years of dedicated service and wish him luck in his future life adventures.
