The Oneida School Board honored the December “Employee of the Month” at the monthly Board meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Sixth grade teacher Annie Brower, who will be leaving the District at the end of the year, was nominated by Mr. Robert Hannah, Principal of Malad Middle School. He read the following letter to support Annie’s nomination:

“It is a pleasure to work with Annie.  She is an outstanding teacher.  Annie is also a huge part of our school’s culture and positive climate.

“Annie has taught at Malad Middle School for the past six years. [E]very day she is here she brings energy and enthusiasm to her 6th grade students.  Currently, Annie is a mentor to two new teachers.  She does things right.

“Annie teaches 6th grade Reading and 6th grade English.  Every 6th grader runs through her classes every day. To get everything done that we ask Annie to do takes countless hours.  I know that our students benefit every day from Annie’s commitment to student learning.”

Stating that Annie will be missed, Superintendent Jon Abrams presented her with a gift card, a copy of the “Starfish” poem, and an “Employee of the Month” plaque.
