Hospital Decorating Contest

Some of the amazing decoration designs on display for the Hospital’s decorating contest.

The Long-Term Care Wing of Nell J. Redfield Memorial Hospital was the site of this year’s pumpkin decorating contest for staff and residents.  With the theme of “Foodie Delicious,” the entries incorporated pumpkins into unique displays.  Winners were determined by the residents of the Long-Term Care Wing.

Most Realistic was a giant ice cream cone created by Long-Term Care Management. Resident’s Choice was a gumball machine created by Brittni Leckie in the Lab. Funniest was an Easy Bake Oven with a pumpkin pie inside as created by Radiology. A giant plate of spaghetti and meatballs won the Most Original designation for Activities. A layered tray of desserts created by Paula Davis of Human Resources earned the Best Use of Pumpkins award. The Clinic’s giant McDonald’s Happy Meal won Honorable Mention.  All of the displays used pumpkins of various sizes and colors, enhanced by the imagination of their creators.

Staff dressed in Halloween costumes put on a small parade for the residents in the morning of the holiday.
