Students hit the streets for Halloween

The annual Halloween parade for Malad’s Elementary school students took place on October 26 on a chilly but festive afternoon.  The parade route, led by the sheriff and the school’s faculty, staff, and administration began at the school, wound around the Nell J Redfield Memorial Hospital, and back to the school.  Parents and family lined the streets along the entire route, cheering for the seemingly endless column of ghosts, monsters, princesses, cowboys, robots, and everything else under the sun.

It was a great chance for students to get some exercise, with Mayor Joan Hawkins walking along with them in support of the Mayor’s Walking Challenge.  It also gave students a chance to see what their fellow students had chosen to dress up as for the year.  Here are a few pictures capturing the chaos and excitement of the parade.
