Volleyball

By Katie Coatney, Emree Hanks, and Liv Nelson

This last week the Lady Dragons played the West Side Pirates. They killed it and won the game in three sets! Liv Nelson proved valuable against the towering number 40, Holly Kropf, with her countless blocks. Liv said,”When I was playing Holly at the net, all I was thinking was that I needed to get atleast one block for the team.” Overall the game was amazing to watch and the student section made the atmosphere even better. The student section dressed in pink for the theme Barbie and to support breast cancer awareness.

HOSA Field Trip

By: Addison

Last Wednesday HOSA went on a field trip to Weber State University. During their tour through the medical program, they met some teachers and students that shared their experiences. They also got to watch EMT students do their training and go through the different stations. It was very interactive and the members got to see a variety of jobs. Sophomore, Purity Miller, said, “It was a fun and interesting experience. It gave the students a new perspective of what they might want to do.” This trip helped the HOSA members get a view of how many opportunities they have in the medical field.

Auction and

Dinner

By: Sydnee

The FFA held an auction and dinner with its officers this past weekend. It was a dinner by donation and they made just under 1,000 dollars from dinner alone, not counting the auction. The officers helped to serve the food. The auction was a live and a silent auction. The FFA officers had sponsors for the auction who donated the items being auctioned. It was a good experience and a great fundraiser

The Malad Dragon football team made their way to bear country on Friday to play the Bear Lake Bears. The final score of the JV game was 14-7 with the Dragons ending with the win. The Dragons fought hard as the Bears were winning 7-0. The second quarter ended with the Dragons leading the score by one. In the fourth quarter the Dragons scored again, but there was a holding call so the touchdown was counted. However, two plays later the Dragons scored again winning the game. The varsity went into their game with positive attitudes ready to fight. Some highlights of the game were Kaden Hatch’s awesome interception! Another was Brady Showell with a good catch. The final score for the game was 41-20 with the Bears winning. Our Dragons offense the first half was strong leaving the battle against the Bears close. Our C-team played last Thursday against South Fremont. The coaches were pumping up the players making sure they had confidence and good attitudes. It was another good home game ending with a win. The final score was 30-21, with the Dragons on top. Player Ky Willie said, “It was good to come out with another win and make our record 6-1. We can’t wait for our upcoming game against Bear River to end our season 7-1.”
